Elon Musk was born on June 28, 1971 in South Africa in the city of Pretoria.
His mother is Maye Musk (née Haldeman), a model and dietitian. His father, Errol Musk, is a South African electromechanical engineer, pilot, sailor, consultant, and property developer.

Elon musk started a lot of companies and most of his initial ventures made him a very successful man.
His first business venture started started with Zip2 which he started in 1995 with his brother Kimbal Musk. Zip2 provides a basic map guide for maps and directions and yellow pages in a city. Zip2 sold for $307million, where Musk earn $22 Million.
In 1999 he founded X.com an online financial service company which mostly cater online email transactions. It then merged with Confinity which later become now the famous paypal.com platform in 2021. Here he got ousted 2 times as a CEO.
Early 2001, Elon created SpaceX. This is after he was unsuccessful on his plan to buy refurbish intrecontinental Ballistic missile in Russia. He used $100Million of his own money to fund the start up of SpaceX. SpaceX attempted its first launch of the Falcon 1 rocket in 2006. Though the rocket failed to reach Earth orbit, it was awarded a Commercial Orbital Transportation Services program contract from NASA Administrator (and former SpaceX consultant) Mike Griffin later that year.
In 2004, Elon musk became active as a chief architect on the now famous Tesla Motors. Tesla IPO happened in 2010 and since then its stock has risen significantly especially when it entered S&P500 it reached a market cap of $1 Trillion.
His other ventures include Starlink constellation of low-Earth-orbit satellites to provide satellite Internet access, Solar City, Tesla Energy, The Boring Company, Neuralink, Hyperloop and OpenAI and his recent $44Billion deal for acquiring Twitter.
